Lost Time

I am going to try and make up for lost time here, I did not anticipate an entire month going by before the next post. Whew... what a month.

I went back to school for my final on campus in January. I am taking a number of courses, and not a couple relaxing and fun ones, unfortunately. I am taking UWSP-Symphony Orchestra and UWSP-Jazz Band, International Marketing, Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Process, Business Law and Ethics, and Economics. The Economics might be gone by middle of next week, but it is there now! I am finishing my business minor, if you cannot tell...

School is going well, work is always challenging, to say the least, and work for student organizations are most that fill my time now a days. Last week was the week of the first exams and quizzes. Next week is the second set for a number of courses. Time is flying this semester!! As for work, it is consistent and perpetual. I work in the Residence Halls, specifically in a freshman hall. Their energy seems to never stop, no matter the time or day. I feel like I am somewhere between their big sister and mother, pending the time of day and what action they are partaking in and the moment. I also work for the Admissions office; I give tours occasionally and call incoming freshman, transfer students, and potential students who are highly interested. There is not much going on there besides me telling each of the students how great the university is and why I love it so much.

A few weeks ago, I planned a trip to California for spring break. I will be spending a few days in Fresno with one of my college roommates, where she is going to graduate school for physical therapy. Then I will catch a ride with my cousins to Ventura, where I will spend another few days with them before catching the train back to Fresno. I will stay in Fresno another night before heading back to the Midwest. As far as I can tell, with provided housing from friends and family, and a free ticket voucher, I will only be paying for the one-way train ride and a few meals and nights out! Talk about an affordable spring break! Not to mention, it is less than a month away!

This semester is also consisting of more and more preparation for London! We have begun the payment schedules and I know two people so far who will be on the trip, one from my program in Arts Management and another from within the Communication department with a different emphasis. My Aunt and Uncle sent me all the materials they had on London last week, some of which include maps of the Underground and the London Eye, along with a book of London Day Trips. I am very excited to start planning time to visit and travel while I am abroad.

I promise I will give more effort to my timeliness of entries here!!
Until next time--
